Unveil the tranquility of nature on our combined kayaking and forest bathing experience, starting from the serene Verona, PA. We embark on a journey across the water, paddling our way to the secluded sanctuary of Sycamore Island. Here, we cast off the world and turn our senses towards the forest for an experience of profound rest and rejuvenation.
Indulge in the healing power of Shinrin-yoku, the art of 'forest bathing', a practice developed in Japan during the 1980s. This practice, a cornerstone of Japanese preventive health care and healing, encourages simply being in the forest, taking in the atmosphere, and allowing nature to work its magic on our senses. We invite you to join us for this guided session of pure immersion in nature, letting the forest wash over you, soothing your spirit.
To enhance the meditative experience, we incorporate the resonant sounds of Singing Bowls, harmonizing them with the forest's natural symphony, offering a unique sensory meditation you won't soon forget.
Please bring along water, a yoga mat or something comfortable to sit on, a kayak if you have one (we provide limited inflatable kayaks with certain ticket types), and any snacks you'd like. We'll provide a uniquely crafted tea, offering a literal taste of nature.
Our meeting spot will be at the Verona Public Docks, 101 Arch St, Verona, PA 15147.
Should we be thwarted by rain or if temperatures dip below 55 degrees, we've reserved Aug 29th as a backup day for this incredible experience.
Join us for this remarkable fusion of water and woodland, adventure and serenity, and lose yourself in nature's healing embrace.
