Course Overview:
This class is an introduction to preparing the sound practitioner for finding and working with opportunities within the allopathic medical field. Based on the instructor’s experience, we will explore possible scenarios in working safely and ethically with individual patients, what could go wrong, introducing our work to the staff, and to corporate medicine at large. You will learn how to determine the best approach in working with a variety of patient needs, including hospice and support groups.

Professional conduct, ethics
Speaking the language and terms to avoid
HIPAA and confidentiality
Infection control and precautions
Documentation, intake forms and consent
Criteria you may need to fulfill
Best instruments to use: bedside, staff presentation or public event
What research is acceptable and where to find it

Lana will also share some of her experiences in working with hospice, hospital patients, cancer and dementia support groups and corporate medical events both for staff and public health events.
